16 ounce can, canned on 11/06/2023, thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with a couple inch tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like coffee, roasted malt, chocolate and some graininess. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some caramel, vanilla and earthy flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit coating, smooth and easy enough to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one, definitely recommended if you like coffee stouts!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This excellent no frills monster pours a
dark coal black with a fantastic head of brown foam that settles to a thick
ring, thin layer, and after settling leaves excellent lacing. Nose of coffee,
cocoa, faint cream, dark malts, earthy malts, brown sugars, and faint herbal
hops. Flavors crank it up to 11 with cocoa, cream, brulee, vanilla hints, coffee,
herbal hop touches, and brown sugars. Very nice mouth feel; medium full verging
on a full body---smooth, rich, coating, lightly slick, light carbonation, and a bitter
malt and char laden finish with balanced sweetness.

Overall---no frill (other than coffee), all thrills! Excellent first new stout from this impressive brewer!

Cheers
