Collaboration with Equilibrium
A hop-saturated, 11% Triple IPA concocted with the mad scientists from Equilibrium. We loaded this one up with a blend of Galaxy, Enigma, and Citra hops. Big body, aroma, and flavor in this monster of an IPA

Can dated 8/2/19 poured into a snifter. A very hazy/turbid yellow color with a medium sized white head. Some sticky lacing in the glass. Considering the age on this one, I was pleased with the aroma. Medium-intensity with sweet orange and tropical notes. The taste followed. Sweet fruity notes likely accentuated by the high ABV. I was expecting muddled hops and lots of malt, but this held up well with a restrained bready malt presence that stayed in the background. Sweet for sure from the alcohol but it was integrated in the hop flavors. Full bodied with a thick finish for an IPA and no astringency. A winner in my book, even at 3.5 months.

Received as an extra in a trade and shared with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy golden hue with a thick one finger creamy white head that fades to leave thick lacing and a dense blanket.
S - Big aromas of dank musk melon, juicy oranges, light sweet marmalade, nice pop of tropical notes such as pineapple. Doughy proteins and oats.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of dank hops with nice sweet marmalade. Nice tropical hops, good sweeter green hops. Sweet pineapple jelly with light bitterness. Just a light flash of heat.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, creamy oats, flashes of heat.
O - Overall this was a solid enough dipa. Good hop flavors but definitely a bit hop on the finish.

Thanks to rudzud
Big creamy fluffy dense head, great retention and soapy lacing, cloudy hazy pale apricot color
Nose super dank, resiny, then loads of pineapple and citrus, generic tropical, papaya, little pithy, light doughy flaked proteins, oats or wheat,
Taste doughy pithy wheat, flaked proteins, little chalky mineral, then big hops, super dank out front again, quickly into pineapple and juicy tropical, slight chalky mineral and quite spicy chewy green hop finish, some booze that gets a little hot
Mouth is med to fuller bod, creamy soft, hot boozy alcohol and spicy briny hops
Overall mixed started great, then got boozy, spicy chewy green hops, the dankness was a little rough too

16 oz can fresh
Dark golden color with thin fizzy head that dissipates quickly.
There are tons of hops in this, which are good and bad.
It smells dank and of tropical fruit at the same time.
The taste is where I get turned off. It has serious hop burn.
If they could get rid of the hop burn, the rating would go way up.
The feel is medium body.
Overall, for a TIPA, I like the flavor and aroma and the buzz, but the hop burn turns me away.
