A 4% session ale brewed in tandem with the fine folks at Finback. This is a summer slammer, hopped with straight Galaxy hops. Low bitterness, wonderfully balanced, and bursting with flavor, this will be a summer fave for sure.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on September 1, 2019. A session ale brewed in collaboration with Finback Brewery. This is a summer slammer, hopped with straight Galaxy hops. Low bitterness, wonderfully balanced, and bursting with flavor.

Received as an extra in a trade. Canned on 7/31.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice hazy golden orange hue with a good one finger white head that fades quickly to leave a thin halo and light wisps. Kind of sad retention wise even for such a low ABV.
S - Aromas of light tropical notes and pineapple, some more generic tropical notes as well before getting to some cleaner generic citrus. Flashes of lemon, before more light pineapple. Pretty solid all things considered.
T - Taste is similar to the nose albeit awfully malty and bready. Decent amount of dough notes. Rather spritzy citrus notes. No real bitterness here. Tropical pineapple comes across as more generic pineapple aroma, no real juicy notes. All the hops are rather low and subtle unfortunately.
M - Mouthfeel has some spritzy carbonation but the body is a little creamy, medium bodied. It actually helps the mouthfeel tremendously as without it this would come across as super, super thin/light due to the carbonation.
O - Overall I had high hopes for this beer. I enjoy Finback and Dancing Gnome but this here just didn't quite work out. It's more than possible to cram hop flavour into a 4% or less beer, however, this one never quite hits that mark. Too bad.
