Brewed in collaboration with Humble Sea Brewing Company.
A 10% imperial stout we dreamt up with the gents at Humble Sea. It's conditioned on fresh organic cacao, irresponsible amounts of fresh vanilla bean, and raspberries for our take on a piece of Black Forest cake.

Thanks to Pinz412 for this one, from a ninja box during The Rookies BIF#4. 16oz can poured into 14 oz teku. Poured the expected solid black color of the style, with 2/3 inch of dark brown head that had very good retention and light-to-no lacing.
A solid, yet subtle, raspberry note was at the front of the nose, with the cocao following up. Underneath that was the basic malty stout scent, with a touch of roast just at the edges.
Fairly similar on the tongue, with the roast being a bit more pronounced, the vanilla showing through, and the raspberry maintaining throughout the glass.
The body was fairly typical for the style, medium-full, smooth, and even. The finish though, while not dry, was drier than I thought it would be. Not at all sweet, let's call it medium-dry.
Drinkability was very good, especially if one likes raspberry (and, I loove raspberry).
Overall, a very nice beer. A must-try if you get the chance.
