Pours black with two fingers of dense caramel-mocha foam. Head retention is great initially, followed by a quick bubble down. Aroma is banana, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla bean, and roasty, toasty, earthy and bready malts. Big depth with an initial dry spice. Flavor profile brings the same depth, albiet with a little more darkness. Banana, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla bean all hit at the onset, and while the vanilla bean and cinnamon linger throughout the remainder of the profile, the finish is dominated by roasty, toasty, earthy malts. Mouth feel is thick with a dense, gritty, earthy feel in every sip. Overall, thick stout loaded with some odd flavors that all mesh well together. It doesn't come off as super sweet, which makes for a more balanced (than other additive-loaded stouts) sipper.
