Pale golden yellow body; excellent carbonation; immense billowy white head. Light malt sweetness on the nose with a floral hop scent. Mild bread crust base with a mellow sweetness; very little hop bitterness per se. Light and crisp body; soft and smooth; nice blend of light dryness and gentle sweetness.
I wish I could remember how this stacks up with the Robin Hood Cream Ale ("For Adventure!") that was a regular staple of mine back in Ohio around the late 70s / early 80s, but if it was anything like this latest offering, then there is no question why -- it's just a damn good beer. I understand this was a short, one-off production. Too bad, I'd love to acquire a lot more of this beer. This is one damn fine cream ale experience!
