Poured from a pint can, the body is a jet black with a small fluffy mocha-colored head. The beer looks as viscous as motor oil. Light lacing throughout the tasting.
Nose is heavy malt and a background earthy hop. Inviting.
Taste follows nose as the malt is full flavored with a deep chocolate flavor. Not a very sweet chocolate, good flavor with a wee wisp of sweet. Mid taste a soft but nice hoppiness appears. A solid bitterness that quickly fades. Careful with that stout, Eugene. This stout deftly masks its ABV.
Mouthfeel is light and soft. Unexpected in such a big beer. Delightful.

Motor oil black, opaque; thin, frothy two-tone head of dark brown and light tan bubbles, patchy after a bit; decent thin rings of foam inside the glass. Big nose; brownies and pecans; a whiff of grain char. Roasted and bitter dark grain taste; baker's chocolate. Thick, oily body; smooth and viscous; a twinge of alcohol warmth.
A nearly three year old beer, it drinks very well. Huge and dark throughout, with a decently balanced and complex appeal to the palate.
Pouring temperature: 36.7 ℉; canning info: 12.23.20

Excited to get some Dancing Gnome around here. Can date 2020/12/23 that seems old for having just arrived
Pours thick inky black with frothy semi dense brown 1/2 finger head, great retention layered lacing, and good legs
Nose brings carafa malt I think, that nougat chewy chocolate marshmallow fudge character, baking spices and very faint anise, molasses, burnt cocoa, touch of figgy fruit, coffee and roast
Taste brings more nougat and dark chocolate, fudgey cocoa and burnt marshmallow, nutty pecan, med bitter spicy hop and roasted malt bitterness, more baking spices and hint if anise, char notes giving into a slight smokey coffee, hint of perfumey alcohol late
Mouth is full bod, rich heavy almost chewy, med to lighter frothy carb, very light smooth alcohol
Overall not bad, heavy rich American stout
