Pours a perfect oil slick black with a nice tight bubbled dark tan head. Aroma is a pronounced dark chocolate scent and a little roast. Taste is chocolate with slight bitter hop presence to balance with only a hint of roast. Body is rich but nothing heavy nor syrupy sweet. 8% is a great spot for this beer making it feel big but still very drinkable for a full pour. Highly recommend this one.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid little straight forward stout
pours a muddled blackish brown with a moderate head of tan foam that settles
to a thin ring. Nose of coffee, dark cocoa, char, roast, and dark fruits. Flavors
surpass the nose with char, roast, coffee, chocolate, and dark berry notes
of blackberry. Mouth feel is medium full tilting towards full, smooth, rich,
coating, light carbonation, and a nice bitter malt finish that is lightly
dry.
Overall---straight forward, no frills, and beyond solid!
Cheers

11/18/22, at the Dancing Gnome in Sharpsburg! Date DAY!
Aromas of molasses, roasted coffee and cool, wet rocks (not a negative)
Smooth in the mouth, slight sweetness, and vivid cocoa and coffee beans! A little too sweet, but it sure goes down nice and smooth!

16 ounce can, canned on 02/09/22, thanks to Brutaltruth for this one. Guessing it's the base version since I don't see anything on the can mentioning if it's a variant or not. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head that stayed around for a while. Good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like fudge, roasted malt, dark fruit, cream and caramel. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some burnt/charred malt, coffee and earthy flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall stout, worth trying if you get the chance!

Coworker picked this up from Dancing Gnome’s taproom 6/22/22. Deep ebony color, almost black. Very nice roasted dark malt smell. Subtle cocoa hint. Taste of semi sweet chocolate. Slight hint of alcohol but very well balanced. This is a great stout from a brewery known for their IPAS. Really well made. No adjuncts. Just great uninhibited flavor.
