Sampling a 16 oz can at cellar temp with a date stamp of 01/31/2025. Pouring into my snifter, picked up the beer at a shop in Pennsylvania.
The beer pours a cola brown into my glass and rests slightly darker in the glass.
A dense creamy beige head of 2.5 cm foams up and slowly fades, but never disappears. I have a sturdy surface covering throughout the sampling. Tight lattice forms from each sip and swirl.
Aroma is lightly chocolate , but not sweet, and also a bit of roasted malt but not over powering. I get a little earthy or herbal tea on the nose too form hops. Not any booze hint whatso ever.
First sip reveals a light body with very fine and tingly carbonation. Texture is smooth and this beer drinks very easy. Quite nice drinking brew. Flavor is similar to the nose with some light chocolate, more of a cocoa powder note and some roasted hits again, no sweetness and hops are minimal here with also no hints of the ABV. I believe I get a little chalky note too.
Easy drinking straightforward stout, I had several of these for a fantasy football draft and drank one can tonight to post this review.
This is a solid sessionable stout, would definitely buy again.
