Form the bottle in a snifter. This mighty fine quad pours a
muddled amber tinged brown color with a nice head of off white
foam that settles to a thick ring, thin clumping pool, and showcases
nice sudsy lacing. Nose of plum and candy sugars with notes of
grapes and earthy malts with light yeasty notes. Flavors surpass
the nose with white gapes and plums dipped in candy sugars with
yeast and light fresh bread notes dashed with brown sugars and
light leather notes. Excellent mouth feel; medium body, fluffy,
smooth, light carbonation, and a medium dry finish.
Overall, a FANTASTIC brew from a great local brewery!
Cheers

found a bottle at my local state store ... in the same zip code as the brewery ...
i'm a sucker for a good quad. this one is exceptional. replacing the expected cherry / cognac tones with plum was brilliant.
had this been properly cellared for a year, it could have been mindblowing. unfortunately, i do not have a proper cellar, or enough self control ...
