12.7 ounce bottle, 2018 vintage. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this! Served in a thistle glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy reddish/brown color with about an inch tan head that stuck around for a while. There's also a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice and mostly sweet, the brew smells like caramel, toasted malt, and some peaty smokiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, with caramel, raisin, peat/smoke, toffee and earthy flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good Scotch Ale, definitely worth a try!

From the 12.7 oz fancy bottle in a snifter. This mighty fine scotch pours
a red tinged medium dark mahogany with a nice head of off white foam that
settles to a thick ring, thin light powdery layer, and shows subtle lacing.
Nose of the usual suspects but well presented with toasted malts, touches
of peat, subtle raisin, and deep caramel malts. Flavors pack the right punch
with nicely presented caramel and subtle peat notes awash in toffee and
light peach notes with a nicely placed herbal hop that is welcome and inviting
providing balance. Perfect mouth feel for the style; medium body, subtly
slick, smooth, light carbonation, and a sweet finish with mild hop balance.
Overall, a fine scotch ale.
Cheers
