We usually drink Platypus beers at the Houston Sabercats games when they are at home and at Platypus when the 'Cats are away but no matter where I've had the Bobby Dazzler it's taste is always too harsh and unpleasantly bitter.

A: Pours a clear orange/yellow color. A one finger white head forms with some retention, that recedes after a minute. Some light lace is left behind.
S: Citrus and orange rind up front. With some light tropical fruit. Light grains and light sweetness in the finish.
T: Like the nose, citrus, orange, and light tropical fruit flavors. That quickly moves towards some cereal grains, and finishes with some light sweetness. Pleasant enough. The honey is not very apparent, but I think it was used more in fermentation than to just add that honey sweetness. Which I can appreciate. Still, just a fairly average Blonde Ale.
M/O: A light body with moderate carbonation. Feels a touch rough around the edges. Not hard to drink at all. Something I can come back to if in the right mood.
Think of this as more of a Southern Stare Bombshell, instead of the typical American Pale Ale. Up front is more tropical than I would expect, but that quickly moves towards the cereal grain character of a Blonde. Not bad at all, and enjoyable for what it is. If nothing particularly unique.
