A: Pours a dark brown, nearly opaque. A tan head rises to two fingers. Good retention and light lace.
S: Roasted malts up front. Big coffee aromas, and a nice chocolate aroma to help balance the roast. Simple, but enjoyable.
T: Roasted coffee up front and center. A little bitter and acrid coffee and first. That mellows out after a while. Then a surprisingly deep chocolate flavor comes out to help balance the bitter coffee.
M/O: A medium body with good carbonation. Though smooth at the same time. Well made and enjoyable to drink. Something I could easily come back to.
A well made, simple Coffee Porter. Easily the best that Platypus as done. The name of the game is simple, but enjoyable. Which I like.
