Enjoyed a 0.33l bottle (€5.00) at DeRat in Utrecht on 25SEP16.
It was jet black, dense and opaque. The head was light tan and creamy, with decent lacing. Had an aroma of roasty choco and rindy hops - quite nice. It had a medium body and was pretty smooth over the tongue.
Tasted lots of roasty notes, with some bitter dark choco present and roasted coffee. It then got rindy, with pithy grapefruit and some piney action. The hops lingered nicely in this well-made black IPA. Prosit!
