Natureland Organic Black Stout pours a slightly translucent black with almost no head. What was there fades quickly, it almost looks like a glass of cola. Some chocolate and and some roasted character show up in the aroma with hints of earthy hops. The flavor is crisp with enough dark malt to give it a nice chocolatey taste. A hint of astringency from the roasted malt is quickly covered by a nice caramel flavor. Some faint graininess shows up in the finish, with a hint of earthy hops. The carbonation is mild, and the beer seems a bit thin. Overall the beer is nothing special, but has some decent flavor.
