Pours a deep golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity, slightly grainy malt and herbal, slightly resinous hops, with citrus aromas of grapefruit and tangerine. Taste follows the nose, with a great balance of biscuity, slightly grainy malt and herbal, floral and slightly spicy and resinous hops, with citrus notes of grapefruit and tangerine, as well as a bit of pine also coming through. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some herbal, resinous and citrus notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation,
I love a good NEIPA as much as the next guy, but I gotta say that's it's so nice to come across an IPA that doesn't taste like tropical fruit juice for a change. I've really missed a nice old-school (I)PA like this in my life, that is a bit more bitter, herbal and resinous, with a little more focus on the malts, while still having a fruity citrus side to it as well. Perhaps just a tad too floral for my personal taste, but overall a terrific balance of biscuity, grainy malt and bitter, herbal hops, with some nice citrus and pine notes. I really enjoyed this one, not to mention that it cost like half of what the hyped German NEIPA breweries are charging.

Bottle. Golden amber. Thick and lasting frothy head.
Rich aroma. A complex mix of spicy yeast, caramel, tropical and citrus fruits.
Tastes the same. Crisp.
Mid body. Softish feel.
A striking beer.

To keep it simple this was a very enjoyable offering from my buddy from Ingolstadt Germany This Pale Ale starts off with a bit of sweetness but then finishes with the classic bitter pale taste. Crisp, aromatic and very drinkable. I wish I'd had more than one in the basement!
