Pours a cloudy, almost hazy, golden amber coloration with a small, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of coconut, mango and orange. Taste is a good balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, slightly herbal hops, with tropical and citrus notes of coconut, mango and orange, as well as just a hint of mint. Finishes with a light bitterness and some coconut and orange lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While this makes for an enjoyable IPA, as long as you can dig Sabro hops, it kinda lacks the hazy look, juicy hops and soft mouthfeel of a self-styled New England IPA, while I also don't think that Citra pairs particularly well with Sabro. I'm generally not a big fan of Sabro hops, which certainly come through here with those kinda odd coconut and mint notes that seem to clash with the bright citrus notes of Citra a little. Overall, not a great NEIPA, but a nice IPA with a slightly odd flavour profile, in my opinion, which may just be due to my dislike of Sabro hops though.
