Nice location, very welcoming with a good vibe on a Sunday afternoon. I knew I was in trouble once I saw the beer list though. It was full of things like a Blackberry Raspberry marshmallow sour. I know flavored beers aren't really my thing... I just feel like breweries should learn to make a good porter before they push out a vanilla coconut porter. Some places do that, this wasn't one of those places. Knowing my bias I am grading on a curve.
So I had a few samples and settled on what looked like the safest bet... a peach golden ale. I like peaches. I like golden ales. This was an oxidized and yeasty mess however. I decided to cut out the middleman, poured it in the toilet, and left.

i havent heard much about these guys before, but had a chance to check it out yesterday. it was a strange time to catch them, as one of the owners has recently been diagnosed with cancer, and they were holding a benefit there for him, unbeknownst to me as i strolled in. beer was served in plastic cups for the occasion, which is never how you want to experience it, but given the circumstances, it was totally cool. they have a great space, a little patio out front, a cozy woody bar room area, and a back space as well, all packed right at opening time to support, these dudes are apparently well loved. they had a silent auction and some special beers on, it was cool to see the community come out so strong on a weeknight to support, i hope a full recovery is made! very cool idea. the two beers i had were both pretty good, a pumpkin pie blonde ale and a oreo cookie coffee porter, both festive for the season and both rather professionally done. they had a huge list of beers too, some really interesting selections and a lot of them perfect for the fall, definitely something for every palate on this list. i will be back here for sure, the creative beers, mellow space, and community energy was all great, they have a good thing going on in here!
