This was a gift from the Old Man in July 2025 that was drunk a week to so later.
L: Hazy and yellow-honey-coloured in the glass, with a big, foamy, bright-white head. No carbonation can be seen.
S: The nose is a big tropical bomb of passionfruit, guava and pineapple. Very nice.
T: The taste very much follows the nose. It's all the passionfruit all the way down, but balanced with some nice grapefruity hoppyness. The finish is sweet, sherbetty, long, and paradoxically refreshing, and a further sip immediately follows. The beer was gone from my glass before I knew what hit me.
M: Quite soft and pillowy, as expected for the style. The sherbet note from above carries into the mouthfeel. Carbonation is relatively mild, but there's an outsized carbonic kick on the swallow.
O: I really enjoyed this. Fresh from the tap, and in a bigger serving, would do me very well, thank you very much!
Cheers!
