Unicorn Milk is a Cream Ale with some unique flavors. We add Mexican Vanilla and then rest the beer on a bed of blueberries to create a very unique, smooth, slightly sweet drinking beer. This unicorn of a beer was born for the Queen City Brewers Festival as a "super brew". But demand for it has now made it a staple in our taproom.

On tap at the NCBMF.

Appearance. This has an amber colored body with a very good white head.

Mild aroma with hard to characterize elements. Tasting reveals a mild, lightly earthy, flavor. This includes the bitterness. It has hints of caramel, wood, grass, and citrus.

A: Pours a very hazy bordering on cloudy medium to dark golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + burnt orange + honey colored highlights. The beer has a three to four finger tall dense sudsy foamy light tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of very thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to heavy amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of cereal grain + slightly bready malts with a light amount of corn adjuncts and a light amount of corn adjunct sweetness. Very light aromas of blueberries + vanilla.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of cereal grain + slightly bready malts with a light amount of corn adjuncts and a light amount of corn adjunct sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of blueberries + vanilla. Finally there are hints of earthy hops and a light amount of bitterness which fades away fairly quickly.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Relatively creamy with a clean finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable and interesting - I like it more as it warms up a bit allowing the vanilla and blueberries to be a little more pronounced.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a two finger high frothy white head that died down but consistently left a short head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Faint aromas of blueberries and vanilla are present in the nose along with notes of underlying malts.
T: The taste follows the smell but has stronger flavors of blueberries and vanilla.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a bit creamy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found that this beer grows on you and the blueberry and vanilla become a little stronger as the beer warms up.

Drinking this at Brewmasters in Wilson NC.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Appears hazy yellow with a nice foamy head that dropped to a thin ring and lacing.
Smells lightly bready, floral sweet, vanilla.
Taste follows the nose, vanilla on the front with citrusy notes.
Mouth feel is nice and creamy, medium for the style.
Overall an interesting Cream Ale that I just ordered again.
Cheers!
