Pours a hazy golden yellow with a white head. A nice sweet, fruity aroma. A nice dose of malt paired with the hops providing some great tropical fruits. Flavor is sweet and fruity, sweeter though than fruity. Maybe even a little nutty. medium bodied, some activity. Overall, went in with minimal expectations for this and found I liked it quite a bit. A very nice surprise and one I will gladly drink again.

A solid yellow body, fat carbonation bubbles, and a one-finger+ thick, white head.

Spicy, floral hops and citrus (orange and grapefruit) strongly hit the nose at first whiff. Some pine...

Taste reinforces the smell initially. Hop spiciness and light malt character give way to a medium hop bitterness.

Medium bodied beer, lots of soft carbonation on the tongue. Soft and clean.

Very satisfying beer with good flavor profile. Comes across almost like a traditional IPA with its strong hop nose.

This beer came in a mix-six pack from GL.

Good looking beer, a bit light on the lacing and head. Soft golden and nice 1 finger head.

Light citrus and stubborn green pine aroma. Gently biscuit underneath.

The biscuit comes through a bit more in the flavor. Citrus and pine mesh fairly well and offer a good taste. Not as malty as, say Dale's Pale or SN Pale. And with that the hops are a bit easier, too. This isn't a light beer by any means, but lighter than those mentioned. A nice example of APA and very drinkable.

Hoppys One Ton Pale Ale pours light golden. This beer has a floral tone with caramel malty notes. However, the hops come through in a mild grapefruit-like way. It had just enough bitterness. This is a very solid beer that finishes clean. This is a respectable American pale ale.

This beer pours a very clear amber-gold. Dry hopping really brings out a perfume-like aroma in this. Flavor is reminiscent of grapefruit with a slight sweetness. Medium bodied. As a pale ale, the hops were present but not overpowering. A very tasty beer.

Picked this up as part of a mixed brewer variety sixer when I was out in CO in mid-April; review from notes

Pours amber with of pearl colored head. Average lacing & head retention

S: Perfumy hops, biscuitty malt, all fade as this warms

T: Biscuitty malt, grassy & perfumy hops, some dryness too. More of the same malt as this warms. Finishes dry & hoppy

MF: Medium bodied, soft carbonation, decent balance

An alright APA, I did expect a lot more from this one though...

Pours a very clear amber-gold, a smooth pour nets a tiny white half finger head with basically no retention and very little spotty lacing.

Smells very nice, dry hopping really brings out a perfume-like aroma in this. Patchy caramel malts with some honey undertone. Floral hops of pine resin, orange and wild flowers rather bright in contrast to the sweet and darker malt.

Flavor is rather unique very little sweetness in contrast with the nose, grain husks, cereal and cardboard seem to make up the malt profile, very coarse. Hops are the same as in the nose, pine and bright oranges with a bitterness that begins early in the drink and carries well into the aftertaste, dries very well.

Medium bodied but with little carbonation, even etched glass fails to make a steady stream of bubbles. A bit coarse and desert dry in the follow, not that there was much malt here to start.

The aroma and drying bitterness highlight this brew though the malt profile is very coarse and unrefined, not much balance. I didn't much mind the lower carbonation though. Decent but the strengths of this beer aren't personally what I look for.

Looks nice in the snifter, not much head but a decent swirl of lacing. A clear amber color. Body is on the lighter side and it gives a good mouthful feel. But, then the hops start sawing your tongue off. This is like a nightmare IPA where any sort of aromatics have been boiled off and all that's left is an acidic, pure bitterness.

Peculiar oily sensation on the teeth and lips. Maybe that's where the ton of hops come in. Normally, if I find an IPA that's too hugely hopped for actual drinking, I"ll use it to flavor whatever cheap lager or disappointing ale that I'm stuck with. This one, however, will flavor the sink disposal.

12 oz into a pint

A - Pours a brown color, on the dark side of brown. Lots of bubbling, indicating the strong carbonation. However, the head formation was about nil, making it look flat.

S - A strong hit of some floral, grassy, somewhat resinous hops. Seems almost fresh hopped. Very bright.

T - Starts off with quite a bit of 2 row sweetness, some caramel malty notes. Mid-stream gets more bitter, builds some hopping. Seems more meaty now, like simcoe. Hopping is not near as strong as the nose would indicate. Finishes clinging, cloying, fairly sweet like a red ale.

M - Very solid beer body, but very underwhelming carbonation. Feels near flat. Finishes with a sugary cling to the tongue.

D - Moderate drinkability. ABV appears manageable, and in line. Just a little too flat for me to session.

An interesting beer - a bit of an enigma. I think its identity is a little lost between a red ale, an APA, and maybe even a brown.

From tasting notes:
A: A dull appearance, with slight head retention.
S: A hoppy resin aroma, with a buttery off-aroma. Slight skunkiness. Medium intensity on the aroma.
T/M: A medium body taste, with some sour aspects. Too little carbonation. A nice bitterness. Good lingering taste.
D: Not a first choice, but would not turn one down.

Picked this one up in a mixed sixer the other day. Poured a nice hazy orange color, with a bit of foam on top. Some nice grassy hop aromas up front, somewhat bready on the tail. Pretty similar on the palate, but the hoppiness was muted way down (maybe an older bottle?) Either way, this one was decent at best.
