Didn't love this one quite as much as the Amarillo version. Don't get me wrong, it's an enjoyable brew and one sure to be loved by the haze hounds. I think I had a hard time getting over my preconceived ideas about Cascade on this one. When I think Cascade, I think grapefruit and pine. These hazy IPAs use pretty characterful yeast strains, and in this case I just felt like the fruity/melon-y esters overwhelmed the Cascade. Which, again, isn't to say unpleasant -- just not what I imagine a showcase of Cascade to be. All the same features of the Amarillo apply otherwise re: look/feel. This is sure to be enjoyed by many, but I was hoping for something a little more classic out of this classic hop.
