Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop on 10-10-18 for $4.75. Canned 10-7-18; received at Hop Stop 10-8-18; reviewed 10-16-18.

Beer poured golden orange with a nice white head that is leaving a touch of lacing behind.

Nose is fresh orange and mango forward, extremely nice!

Taste is a little more balanced that the Wet Hop version. Marris Otter malt base comingles wonderfully, showcasing the grapefruit and orange hop profiles.

Mouthfeel is crisp and clean with a light to moderate citrus rind.

Overall an awesome beer that is worth the price of admission!

Cascade, Chinook, and Amarillo wet hop pale ale, glowing orange, light ring of foam that just barely hangs around throughout the glass. Nice, produce aisle fruitiness on the nose, some deeper ruby red grapefruit beneath lighter notes of papaya. There's a "greenness" in there too, fairly light, and a mild astringency. Palate combines mildly astringent, aspirin-like bitterness, sort akin to underripe Clementine oranges, as well as more grapefruit and some vaguely tropical notes. Juicy body, though thankfully not as heavy as the non-DDH version. Of note, I got massive amounts of sludgey hop byproduct at the bottom of my cans, in which that aspirin-like astringency was dialed to 100. Can't help but think that finding a way to get more of that out of the liquid would benefit the beer.
