Glad to see a German style craft beer from Arizona.
I can see the brewing company put their effort to make some nice doppelbock. But Ayinger Celebrator is one of my favorite and this one is far behind. Thus I will give this one a low 3.

Picked up a 16 oz single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop cooler on 9-19-18 for $4.25. Canned on 8-22-18; consumed on 12-21-18. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured a golden brown with a decent white head with the intial pour.
Nose is bready with hints of sweet malts.
Taste is sourdough bread with a nutty and slightly bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall a nice representation of the style, could be a little less bitter and this is a guy that grew up with old school bitter WCIPA's.

Best US-made dopplebock period...can tell it was made with best German grain by a brewer trained in Germany. Smooth, malty, rich, sweet but not 2 sweet.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
