For this beer, we took our regular IPA and added rye to the grain bill. The result is a peachy, tropical, and citrusy juice bomb with a uniquely zesty and slightly spicy rye character.

A hazy IPA featuring Citra, Amarillo, and Simcoe hops. Intensely dry hopped and highly drinkable.

Appearance: Pours a somewhat opaque goldenstraw with a two finger head; strips of lacing linger while the head settles in at one finger

Smell: Spicy rye along with peach and pineapple aromatics; an undertone of pink grapefruit

Taste: Pineapple and peach forward with hints of spicy rye underneath; through the middle, the citrusy pink grapefruit elements emerge to bring a moderate bitterness that lingers into the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and somewhat creamy; moderate carbonation

Overall: Weird how the Citra comes through on this one and not on the regular IPA I tried a few days ago; I really enjoyed the balance here that the three hops varieties brought

Thanks, kevindp9, for the opportunity

Pint sized can:

Pours very hazy yellow with a thin, creamy, lasting white head. Trailing lace sticks.

The smell is a mix of zesty citric and tropical fruits with a rye/minty spicing.

The taste is a blend of general citrus and tropical fruits. Spicy rye is present without overwhelming. Malty, smooth backbone ties it together. It has a refreshing, fairly long finish.

It is very smooth. Alcohol is well-integrated. Refreshing aftertaste.

A Very enjoyable, easy-to-drink IPA (hazy, but western-style). Nice touch of rye. Enjoyable!

Surprising amount of citrus without being overbearing and just the right amount of 'rye' on the palate. Very drinkable and refreshing while providing enough IBU to satisfy. Probably the best rye I've had to date.

Got in a trade with AZBeerDude72. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, spicy rye, biscuit dough, toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, spicy rye, biscuit dough, toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and rye spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, spicy rye, biscuit dough, toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.1%. Overall this is an awesome hazy rye IPA. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/spicy/resinous/drying finish. Nicely soft and not overly aggressive. Awesome Citra, Amarillo, and Simcoe profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a great balanced rye/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example.

Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Quick Stop 6-7-19 for $4.69. I believe this was canned on 3-16-19; consumed on 7-2-19.

Beer poured a cloudy golden orange with a nice white head with the original pour.

Nose is wonderful, peach, mango, and orange is front and center.

Taste follows the nose with a malt base that has blended pale malts with a touch of rye spiciness and incorporates a wonderful medley of peach, mango, and orange tinged hops. Finish is a perfect level of bitterness, 7/10 on my bitterness scale.

Mouthfeel is delightfully light and refreshing.

Overall another lovely single IPA variant from those good folks from Tombstone! This beer i suspect was refrigerated from end to end so that has contributed to the beer holding up so well!
