Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop cooler 3-3-20 for $3.24. Canned on 2-26-20; consumed on 5-19-20. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured dark brown with a nice off white head that is leaving a bit of lacing behind.
Nose is nice, roasted malts integrated with a hint of cocoa and coffee.
Taste is very well balanced. Light dark malt base with a medium roast and a hint of smokiness integrates with a light touch of cocoa. Hopping is well played leading to a balanced finish.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and pretty refreshing.
Overall a nice beer and a nice change of pace. I do not see many dark lagers and this one is worth trying.
