Although Italian Pils is not really its own style (German brewers have been dry-hopping their Pilsners for over a century), it is a delicious idea. This interpretation uses Italian Eraclea Pilsner malt and is hop-bursted and dry-hopped with a combination of Strisselspalt and Barbe Rouge Hops to give it a spicy floral character with notes of citrus and ripe berries. We do wish people would quit pretending Italian Pils is something new, but at least its popularity gives us an excuse to brew another bright, clean, and extremely refreshing hoppy lager!

Picked up a single from the Kings Beer & Wine cooler 10-7-20 for $3.49. Canned 9-29-20; consumed 1-18-21. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured a clear golden with a nice white head with the original pour.
Nose is crackers forward with a touch of floral and citrus hops.
Taste is very clean with the light malt base working very well with the floral and citrus hops. Finishes perfectly balanced with a citrus tang.
Mouthfeel is light bodied and very refreshing.
Overall a very well done pils by the TBC crew!
