This traditional barleywine features 100% floor-malted Maris Otter barley and an incredibly long boil for flavor and color development. Rich and malty with a raisiny aroma, the flavor is dominated by notes of biscuit, prune, and cherry.

Had on tap. Reddish brown clear body, no head. Very raisin and dark fruit in general forward nose with light oxidized booze, barley and caramel malt. Taste is very malt forward again with big raisin and plum now, barley, dry yeast and toasted biscuit are there but ultimately left behind in the dust. Feel is malty too, warm and very smooth with decent oxidation, but depth is limited

Pours a cola brown with a finger of quickly dissipating foam. Nose is toasted malt and dark fruit. Taste follows suit with the addition of a strong apple note and a funny metallic aftertaste. Feel is slick and oily. Okay beer.
