Dark coppery brown brew with plenty of foam in the Duvel nonic. Plenty of carbonation but a very light body. Quite aromatic with spice and grain. Modest malty flavors with a distinct, but not obnoxious, cinnamon and spice finish. Slightly sweet and sparingly hopped, but a slight astringent aftertaste. Not the sweet and strong type of Winter Ale, but quite quaffable and something different. From the 16 oz can purchased at the brewery restaurant in Phoenix.
