On tap at Redlight Redlight. Served in a chalice.
Appearance - Black with a khaki head made of large bubbles. Medium collar.
Smell - Buckets of whiskey. Dark chocolate roasted malt. Coffee. But mostly whiskey. A bit of acidity?
Taste - Lots of whiskey. A very interesting flavor. The whiskey blends in with a nice chocolate and vanilla stout. Intense roasted malt pushes through and sustains through the whiskey. Oak aftertaste. Slight tang to it, too. Gets really funky as it warms up. The sourness becomes much more prominent.
Mouthfeel - Not sure if this is a cask, but it's nearly flat and has the texture of a cask or firkin. Medium light, especially for a barreled stout.
Overall - I was put off by the tang at first, but then I got over it and really enjoyed it. But as it warmed, it just got weirder.
