One of the more popular brews for this local brewe
I can describe this brew as a sweet sour, more sweet than sour, but a liquid Sweet-Tart nonetheless. The mouthfeel is really thick for a blonde like this, but the taste really is very delicious - a dessert beer without being overly obvious about it.

This is a shockingly good beer, and not the first good hoppy offering I've had from Playalinda. They definitely deserve some more attention on the Florida scene.
Great looking brew, but nothing special. The nose hits you with key limes, sugar, vanilla, and tropical and citrus hop tones.
On the palate, this is truly like eating a key lime pie, graham cracker crust and all. It's exactly sweet and tart enough to get the impression across, without becoming overbearing or too gimmicky. This really nails the profile and execution to a T.

I don't know how this beer would be out of a can or bottle, but I tried it at Brix Project the restaurant that is attached to Playalinda Brewery. I thought it was amazing. Tart and refreshing, a beautiful hazy color. The whipped cream on the rim helps to offset the sourness. I really, really enjoyed this beer.

Tasted in a snifter from a crowler on June 22, 2018. A wedge of the south in a glass! Not sure what to think of this. It is a quality beer and it does taste like key lime pie, but it is just not for me.

The beer goes well for the location. I'm from MI where it seems like the only beers that can be made are IPA's and Bourbon Barrel Aged beers (which are my favorites so don't get me wrong). While I Florida on vacation, we always stop at Playalinda a few times and its a great place.
This beer was offered at the Brix Project. It's a hazzy color and served in a pilsner glass. This is a very refreshing beer with a lime taste and the whip cream on the rim of the glass goes well. It has a hint of citrus in the smell but the taste is outstanding. Hint: if you are not a fan of limes or citrus in general, do not get this. You have to be in the mood for it and have an open mind. Goes great in the 95 degree weather.
This is a great alternative to the Shandy' s that are popular in the summer. I loved it.

Hazy yellow-orange with a white blanket leaving spongy lace.
Right up front it smells like Carmex, really?! I also get some lime rind and vanilla, but this just smells very weird and off-putting!
Taste is largely similar, with orange and lemon, coming on slightly more tart, with sweet tea and ginger.
Frothy but light.

On tap at the Playalinda Brix location.
Light golden body with a good head and fine lacing.
Smooth, light body with puckering tartness.
The aroma features lime and subtle baked bread. .
The flavor is markedly tart, bitter and sweet! Loads of lime juice and lime peel flavor.
Overall: highly recommended for fans of limes. Caution: comes with a rim of Coll Whip unless you instruct otherwise (as I did).

On tap 1/28/17 at the brewery's Brix Project location. Hazy appearance but hard to say how much of that was due to the whipped cream rim this beer is served with. Delicious but may have affected the appearance. Quite tart but tasty. If you like lime, you should enjoy this beer.
