This poured like black, shiny syrup and very dense foam. Aromas of cacao, malt and honey please the nose. Flavor-wise, there's plenty of dark chocolate, sweetness but not too much like seems to happen in many chocolate stouts. The beer is surprisingly well balanced, has a medium-thick body, and does a great job of hiding it's 7.5% alcohol content. Very nice overall.
