Served on tap at the Ukiah Brewing Company in a goblet. (Only place you can get it).
A: Deep dark amber, with a nice head that quickly disappeared.
S: TONS of roasted malt and buscuity goodness.
T: WOW! The malt comes flying through, with a satisfying sweetness following soon after. The 7.0% ABV is misleading - the beer finished with a nice warmth that suggested more.
MF/D: Quite thick for a straight bock, slightly grainy. It was good to drink though, and enjoyable from start to finish. Didn't quite go with my fish and chips, but my food stayed untouched while I focused my attention on this find. My suspicions about the alcohol content was confirmed when the bartender said (I'm not kidding here) "Yeah, I think it's more like 8.5. It's a nice little bonus!" Whether this was a brewing accident or the way it is normally, it adds a lot of character to the beer. If you're in Ukiah, be SURE to stop and try this beer. (There's not a lot else to do up there!)

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
