No date on the can. Cheers to this small brewery, which I recently found out will be closing its doors.

The pour is thin, deep siena brown in color. Some soft beige head rises to about a finger in height, fizzling out quickly. The lacing evenly coats the inside of the glass, weak but credit for its initial desperate cling.

The nose on this is nice. Deep, apparent notes of dark chocolate balance and introduce undertones of black cherry and wild berries. No tartness or off qualities from the fruit, just a very cordial-like quality on the nose. A malt-forward backbone rounds out the aromas.

Hit first with a good amount of malt, which does well to mute a very mildly tart currant flavor. Chocolate-covered cherries is a bit of a reach, as it's not quite sweet enough, but it's got a good flavor. Boozy undertones, and a re-emergence of chocolatey flavors that I wish were just a bit more prevalent. Overall, balanced and nice. Booziness kept in check and ABV well hidden.

The mouthfeel was probably the most underwhelming aspect of this beer for me. Too thin, especially for such a heavy ABV. There's a decent mouth coating and stickiness left behind, but between the thin body and high carb, I was hoping for more in this department. Lingering feel is solid, though, not overly boozy but nice and warm going down.

I got a 4pck from the brewery. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that is leaving some lace. The scent had faint roast and dark fruit hints. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to sip with dark fruit base throughout the drink. The mouthfeel was fuller in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.
