Imperial Stout with tons of roasted dark malts, give way to hints of coffee and chocolate balanced with big hop additions.

Undecipherable date code; drank 4/30/23 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big, noisy, bubbly tan head; almost no lace.
Acorn, fresh earth & mild burnt caramel notes in the nose.
Creamy, medium thick mouthfeel.
Acorn, fresh earth & faint cream flavors.
Some rough edges here, but it's drinkable.

Very forward and light on the palate for the abv. Lots of tart and fruity flavor almost like a cold brew coffee. Doesn't linger, but you can definitely taste the roastiness.

16 oz can into a pint glass. Opaque very dark brown color, minimal tan head vanished almost immediately.Chocolate and roasted nuttiness aroma. Tastes of nutty malt sweetness, molasses, some coffee bitterness, faint fruitiness like plum / licorice. Surprising biting carbonation but not overly so. Medium-full bodied.

16oz can, 8.3% ABV
date stamped 352LAG889
L: near black stout with a thinner tan head
S: chocolate, dark grain, roasted barley, molasses
T: smooth flavors: nutty grain, chocolate, roasted barley, caramel, coffee, blackstrap molasses, faint anise, earthy hops
F: fuller body, ample carbonation, balanced finish
O: a nice easy drinking organic Imperial stout. I’ll buy this again

Appearance: black; thin dark head that dissipates almost immediately
Aroma: malty and roasty; bitter dark chocolate; coffee hints
Taste: starts a little sweet and bready; moves into a nice roasty malt backbone through the middle; finishes with a big wave of dark chocolate
Mouthfeel: prickly carbonation; thinned than expected
Overall Impression: this is really nice; good strong flavor profiles with balance; not too complex, but a nice offering; the biggest let down is the mouthfeel--a little too carbonated and without the creamy smoothness that I want from a big stout; all in all, a good beer

Presentation: 16 oz. can with no dates. Served in a stange.
Appearance: The tan colored, one finger head stays around for a bit an leaves behind some patchy lacing. It's a very dark, cola-like brown color.
Smell: It's a smoky flavor of burnt wood, dark roasted coffee beans and very dark chocolate.
Taste: There's a sweet, brown sugar, molasses and raisins flavor at first that then transitions into darker notes of dark chocolate and coffee. It has a touch of smokiness in there as well.
Mouthfeel: It's robust but not overly so. There's a silky smoothness followed by a strong-ish medium carbonation bite.
Overall: A rich stout that tastes pretty good and has a complex flavor. It's quite light within the Imperial Stout style, but overall it's a good beer.

I enjoy stout. Do I taste licorice here? Very refreshing stuff.
