Look: Pours a hazy orange with a frothy, white head. Nice looking beer.
Smell: I’m getting mostly tropical fruits - orange, pineapple, passion fruit. Pine notes on the end.
Taste: The fruits don’t jump as much as I’d like but it’s still pretty good. The carbonation also bites harder than it should for an IPA, which does take away a bit of the flavor.
Feel: Super smooth, light mouthfeel. Easy to drink and refreshing.
Overall: Not bad, and I do wonder if flying this back from Brazil to the States perhaps took some of the quality away, so take that for what it’s worth. Still a pretty good IPA though.

Clear amber color with a thick head with medium retention and leaving laces.
Nice aroma with predominant notes of passion fruit, mango and pine. Hints of pineapple, American yeast and a bit of spices.
Flavor with notes of pine, grapefruit, passion fruit, mild mango, spices, tea and slightly toasted malts. Dry aftertaste with a bordering medium bitterness.
Light to watery body with good carbonation.
After having this APA (rather than American IPA), I became curious to try their “IPA 6”, once this is definitely a Session version. This has all the right flavors, so I did not penalize it for body given its likely proposal. Complexity is somewhat falling behind. It felt very much like the Wals Citra. And by the way, the price for this fresh exemplar makes all the difference!
