I really enjoyed the cascade hops and dark amber color and full flavor of this very realistic Raleigh NC version of an English ESB pub ale. I purchased in cans from Bottle Mixx. Very enjoyable! It tasted very English and a little hint of a German style. This could be a go-to favorite for me.

Served in a tulip at Bottledog (Cary, NC).
A: Velvety dark brown with 1-finger of light beige foamy head with poor retention and no lacing.
S: Toffee and medium and dark caramel, dark chocolate and nougat with some plum flavors. Not very much esters except for plum/prune. Hopping is earthy and herbal.
T: Flavor is solid with big doses of toffee and medium and burnt caramel followed by plum jam. Hopping is mellow with some lighter earthy flavors. Low-medium bitterness. Esters are plum/prune. A bit minerally in the finish.
M: Medium bodied with low carbonation and full finish.
O: Solid ESB type of beer, favoring maltiness heavily.
