Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours deep red with a small off white head. Smells of dark roasted grain. Tastes of caramel and sweet grain, very nice. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a good beer.

A: The beer is clear but very dark red in color (dark brown when viewed from afar) and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin layer of off white bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of toasted malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of toasted malts with additional notes of caramel malts and hints of spicy hops.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer seems a little lighter in flavor and body compared to other beers in the style.

A: Pours a clear medium to dark reddish golden copper in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate deep garnet red + chestnut brown + amber + medium golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall foamy tan head that reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of toasted + bready + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. Light to moderate aromas of lager yeast and a light aroma of earthy + spicy hops.
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of toasted + bready + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of lager yeast. Finally there are light flavors of earthy + spicy hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which does not linger for too long leaving a relatively clean finish.
M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially with a clean finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Not as sweet as many of the other Oktoberfest beers but with a nice decently complex malt flavors. Decent balance with the hops. Enjoyable.
