Poured from 330mL can into a glass tumbler. Canned 12/18/25. I believe this is only available on Icelandair flights.
Appearance: medium amber-orange hue with a nice richness to the color and a totally clear body. Head is a thick finger of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: the malt has a grainy character but doesn’t have the astringency that I feel often goes along with that graininess. It’s smooth and almost rich. I dig it.
Taste: pretty much the same story as the aroma — perhaps a little on the sweet side, but with a good, slightly grainy, malt character. There’s a hit of bitterness here, too, which works for me. Good stuff.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a good carbonation and a very nice creaminess.
Overall: I’m kind of pleasantly surprised by this beer! You don’t always think of a beer brewed in co-promotion with an airline as likely to be good, but this one is. To be honest it’s more along the lines of an amber lager than a pale lager, but as far as I can tell they don’t put a specific style on it other than “lager” so there you go.
