16oz undated can, presumed recent release, pours an inky blackish body with actively popping bubbles that never form a full cap, let alone forming a head of foam. An edge hugging ring collects running sheets of lacing upon agitation.
Whiskey aromas float to the nose including caramel, wet wood and sawdust, cereal, with a more fruity than flowery bent. There are also notes of cocoa and a brighter sweetness over the top.
The flavors match emphasized by caramel, oak, vanilla, chocolate, and malted grains. Every sip brings a different flavor forward, but they remain balanced and well blended.
Mouthfeel is rich and creamy, enveloping the tongue and sticking to the palate. A full feel compliments and enhances the caramel and chocolate notes.
Overall a really nice beer with great use of barrel aging. A cigar or roaring fire seals the deal.

Awesome appearance, thick inky black pour, small dark brown head that fades quickly, slight oily film on the glass. Snot machine says caramel and slight hints chocolate and whiskey, taste buds get all that too. Smooth creamy mouthfeel, 13% abv hardly noticeable. This is a keeper.
