December 2024. Des Plaines. Had the short fuse holiday IPA was spruce tips in juniper berries— Not the hazy. It was not very good. I wouldn’t buy it again. I don’t think the hazy would be any better.

A - Pours a hazy milky orange, with a short white head, fading to a thin cap. Extensive thin line lacing, with clumps in lines down the glass.
S - Pungent sour citrus over the namesake hit of spruce tips.
T - Citrus and piney spruce mingle with a tart juniper note through the middle. The close continues the acidity, but a subtle bitter edge of pith over some continued acidity.
M - Mild carbonation and soft acidity hide some but not all the resin build. A bit taxing after you get to the finish of the can.
O - Surprising both in how drinkable it is and how clear the spruce and juniper come through. Very good stuff.
