Opaque black color. Creamy brown 3 finger head, lasting around 10-15 minutes, with poor legs and swirl reaction. Flavors of dark grains, coffee, walnuts, light chocolate and plums, toffee, with herbal hops. Light creamy medium body with moderate carbonation. Medium strength finish, mostly roasted and leafy with low fruitiness. Decent freshness and well balanced. Basic take of the style. Overall good quality craft.

Pours an extremely dark ruby red, almost no light gets through (it is an unfiltered beer) with a creamy dark brown malty head that doesn't dissipate too quick. Strong scents of coffee and barley malt off. Very strong coffee notes and very dark chocolate. Feel is very smooth, not velvet-like, or creamy, however. Good beer from Bogtrotter.
