Beer is pitch black with a dark head as well. The head didn't last long. Right away I smell coffee and dark malts (excuse any spelling, I'm drunk). The beer tastes great its smooth, medium bodied, nice dark flavors of coffee, a hit of sweetness and a bitter flavor to balance it out.
