Our reserve American wild ale aged 18 months in neutral French oak Pinot Noir barrels represents the first wave of our expanding barrel aging program. Undergoing secondary fermentation in the barrels with raspberries and sour cherries, the nose presents nuanced notes of red fruits commingling with exceptional barrel character. On the palate, the high acidity provides a fantastic backdrop for a complex interplay of red fruits, Pinot Noir essence, and a light vanilla characteristic.

On-tap at Big Stump Brewing Company, Sacramento, CA
A: The beer is slightly hazy pinkish amber in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a think pinkish collar around the edge of the glass that quickly faded away.
S: Moderate aromas of sour cherries and oak are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of oak from the barrel aging with notes of Pinot Noir and cherries.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This sour is very easy to drink but is also rather complex. It also hides its alcohol very well.
Serving type: on-tap
