First real review of any substance on BA.
Pours a dark yellow light amber color. 1/2" white head. I like the label design too. The aroma largely lacked a hop nose. Dearth of information about what hops were used. These issues might be connected.
Taste imparts a heavy degree of bitterness, so check, bittering hops in the house. Largely pushed a metallic bitterness. Mouth feel was what you would expect, at times the body was heavy and the booze was stinging but not up there in fusel like levels or anything that terrible. It got slightly sticky mal. There were mild aspects of more flavorful hops, but it was really difficult to discern in terms of receiving tropical and/or citrus notes. Had the hint of dankness but it just didn't find a way to really reveal its hop recipe/influence. Largely left with the feel of a heavy, boozy, sting.
I've dug a few Big Stump beers, but this is my least favorite that I recall having.

West Coast Double IPA. Bitter and hoppy. Long finish.
