Stopped in with the wife 15/10/17
Not a bad space downtown 17th ave, old building with new brewpub interior with the tanks behind a glass wall, new and nice inside. Typical Calgary crowd, douche-bags, rich kids, with a couple hipsters mixed in, some loud obnoxious tables full of dressed up drunks. Service was pretty shit, stood at the front for 5 minuets waiting to be seated before I tried to get the bartenders attention and never really did, finally a server walked by and I had to ask her if we seat ourselves. So we sat ourselves and sat.....and sat.....it was like we were invisible, multiple servers walked by us over 10 minuets and we were trying to get their attention but not so much. We were about to walk out when someone said they "would be right with us" still took a while to get a menu. Finally got an order placed and our food came out before our beer flights, pretty sad when that happens. Two dozen taps of Mill Street, the four I tried were brewed on site in Calgary and were meh to decent, nothing really all that great though. Food was meh, shrimp dip was not for me, dry ribs were great and the burger was decent and all cheap with the happy hour pricing. Server didn't bring condiments or cutlery or napkins, I didn't even ask at this point just went and grabbed it off an empty table. She was busy.... not so much with customers but getting pretty jacked up, sniffling constantly and had some white powder under her nostril, weird...I wonder what she was up to???? The only saving grace was our bill was 45$ for 2 flights, two pints, two burgers and some appys, the happy hour pricing is a real bargain for 17th ave. I doubt I'll go back though, zero hope I'd go back if the menu was full price.........
