Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a 2F head and moderate lacing.
Smells of piney hops with some citrus.
Tastes of sweet malt, slightly dank resinous hops and a bit of pineapple and mango with a moderately bitter finish.
Medium body with light carbonation. Lush dry mouthfeel.
This enjoyable brew is a West Coast malt and hops beer with some funk and light juicy bits.

Attractive can design that stands out among other Double IPAs on a retail shelf. I've been generally quite impressed with the Start Line cans that I've purchased to date and this one is no exception. Can says they use hops grown on their property and I suspect that's why it has a rather unique taste - somewhere between a West Coast and New England style. Whatever the style classification, the hops are emphasized with malt totally in the background. 8.2% ABV seems to work perfectly to enhance the body and is not noticeable when tasting. Overall, a product definitely worthy of a repeat purchase.

Draft at the brewery
Light creamy head fades fairly quickly, little lacing, pretty hazy golden apricot color
Nose big hops, bright citrus and floral, bit grassy too, generic citrus, orange zest, touch grapefruit, floral and bright hop, hint of malt
Taste brings a little sweet cracker malt, mild sweetness no alcohol, fairly big hops, big citrus, lots of grapefruit, orange zest, pretty spicy with more floral grassy hops too, fair bitterness that ramps quite a bit towards the end, dry bitter big spicy hop finish, little grassy floral and citrus rind lingering
Mouth is med bod, little soft, fair carbonation
Overall a very nice west coast style dipa, light malt enough to prop up the hops and hide the alcohol well, nice bitterness without being crushing. Very enjoyable
