Rereview on draft
Big foamy pillowy head, great lacing, fair retention, crystal clear blond straw color
Nose nice cracked grain, grainy sweet grist, cereal, hint of floral hop
Taste mild sweetness bit fair grainy sweet malt, cracked grain gristy, cereal, faint hint of honey, fair floral herbal hops with med bitterness, esp on the dry crisp finish, soft crisp lager
Mouth is med to lighter bod med carb, soft lager
Overall I had to re review this cause it's much better than the crowler fill from way back with the lack of carb
Crowler filled 11/16/17, picked up on the 17th and enjoyed on the 19th.
Filled right to the brim, a good sign no leakage and they're resolving the crowler issues perhaps. Pours a nice foamy almost creamy rich 1 finger head that fades at a med pace, slight hazed lemon tan color
Nose starts with big doughy malts, biscuity with lots of raw bread dough, little straw and maize like, grassy herbal hops in the background,
Taste brings a little sweet dough, plenty toasted biscuity malts, cereal grains, like the taste of the air when grinding malts and the dust in the air just sticks all over your mouth, gristy whole grain spent grain bread, mild grassy herbal hops in the background again, a touch of bitterness, a bit of a soft feel to it.
Mouth is lighter bod softer mouth, light on the carb unfortunately.
Overall other thank lack of carbonation (Still crowlers are not quite right), there weren't really any flaws in it thankfully, however a bit too much of the crazy dough gristy malt for a typical kolsch, however, still enjoyable and nice for an easy drinking 32oz of beer for a Pats game.
