Out of retirement? 473 ml can served cold into a tulip. Listed at 7,8% ABV. Canning date of September 12, 2022.
Appearance - Another turbid, super hazy yellowy brew with gold hues. Three fingers of dense rocky white are poured. Good staying power and spotty lacing left behind.
Smell - Some overripe mango, dank gym socks and a trace of something else - maybe a guava papaya mix.
Taste - Mango and overripe fruit initially followed by harsh bitterness and lots of hop oil. Finish weedy and earthy. Rather intense flavors.
Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied, light carbonation, easy to drink if you like the flavor.
Overall - The overzealous bitterness, combined with the gym sock aroma and overripe fruit. It's not for me. Some will love this, and it is well brewed, but seems to be lacking in balance a bit. Overall everything smooths out a bit as the beer warms and your taste buds get acclimatized.
