First of all, this beer has not been retired. Second, this is my first attempt at this brewery.
Pours the requisite hazy orange with lacing left over. The nose is a lovely mix of hops and citrus. But the taste is somewhat odd. The exotic fruit comes out nicely (blood orange especially), there is maybe even some vanilla, but somehow things don't balance properly. Not bad (though pricey), but too acidic and messy to be a grand slam.

Triple IPA sez the can. Oh no sez I. Brutal hop beating on the way.
But no. This is actually pretty darn good. Short brief head to a ring, some early lace is all. Soft white grapefruit colour is milky opaque. Big nose full of white grapefruit and pine. Appetizing. Juicy to taste, lots of grapefruit again, bitter but not killer. Offset by creamy, juicy sweetness. Gently spritzy. 11%? Couldn't tell by me (until it was too late). Alcohol nicely managed in a flavourful beer. Sit and drink.
Very nice hop presentation. An interesting imbibe.
